Description
This 6 day bike tour starts in the city of Kardzhali, the main administrative center in the eastern parts of the Rhodope Mountains.
The perfect way to explore this peaceful part of South Bulgaria. The tour follows the Transrhodopi bike trail which connects a whole network of villages, farmers, houses, small pubs and local factories, in this way it supports the local economy, mainly based on the tobacco, sesame and nuts production.
The trail follows the undulating terrain of the Eastern Rhodope Mountains and winds between rocky hills, meadows, oak forests and panoramic points. While you enjoy the various landscapes and magnificent cuisine, the timelessness of the local life and Balkan traditions will capture and fascinate you.
